FDA approves insulin pump with continuous glucose monitor

My brother, Dirk, brought this to my attention. Medtronic has just gotten FDA approval on an insulin pump with a continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS). Its CGMS automatically tests blood glucose about every 5 minutes. From what I understand, Abbott Laboratories is working on FDA approval for a similar device.
