Today is an unexpected rest day in Winfield, Kansas. I went to bed tired, didn’t sleep well and in the morning decided that riding 88 miles today (to Independence, Kansas) might not be in my best interest. We had some errands to run, and since Winfield is a fairly large town, we decided to get them done today.

I’m also I’m taking the opportunity today to catch up on some reading. A visitor to The Dream Tour web site brought to my attention this article in the Arizona Daily Star. It’s about Adam Kuehl, a junior at Arizona University who recently set a new University of Arizona record in the discus throw. Adam has type 1 diabetes and wears an insulin pump.
