There are 25 days until the start of The Dream Tour, so I was out on a training ride today even though it was an overcast day with highs on around 33 degrees in Salt Lake City. I rode portions of some of my favorite routes, including this one — City Creek Canyon. In the summer, it’s a very busy road. Even though there’s no car traffic, there’s plenty of other cyclists mixed up with lots of pedestrian traffic. Today though, I had the place to myself so I stopped to take a picture with my new digital camera. I wanted to document the coldness of the ride, so I pointed the camera up the road, set up the camera’s self-timer, and then ran and stood in the snow. I’m not sure that really worked to capture the coldness, but believe me, it was cold!
